questions? post them here.

Our corporate sponsor, Entergy, and West Feliciana Parks and Rec. are stepping up big time to support this race. The first 20 participants can get a rare, soon-to-be coveted Beast Master T-Shirt!

We will have cash prizes for Expert and Sport Categories.

I know that the flyer says this will be a "barebones" event, but Entergy and West Feliciana Parks & Rec. want to lend us a hand with this race, too.

I cannot confirm these details yet, as of now they are still being finalized, but it is very likely that we will have cash prizes for Expert and Sport classes. We will have hand-crafted awards, T-Shirts, and plenty of refreshments.

The course is looking to be significantly longer than reported on the flyer. This race will debut the new Preliminary Loop that you may have seen discussed on the Forum.

The St. Francisville Inn On The Lake is the town's de facto motel. It is very close to the trail.

If I know you, or someone I know can vouch for you, I can consider putting you up at my place, email info@tunicatrails.org.

Do we need a canopy tent?
My Dad has a concession canopy tent, we used when he cooked jambalaya at festivals raising money for Scouts and School.
I tried to find a pic. of it but couldn't.
Found a pic. on the internet that looks identical, it looks exactly like this pic. but his could be longer, its 20x20 or 20x30 blue and white. We haven't used it in years, but seen it the other day in the shed.
Got to go to Dads in the morning get some tools before I go up to the Beast to do work tomorrow. If you think we need one for the race, I'll grab it, put it up in the back yard make sure no rips or tears and take a real pic. of it.

After I posted this noticed should have posted this in a different forum, It wouldn't let me move it.

Don't think I will make it to the "Beast" today. It's already 12:00 and getting tired.
Got the Circus tent from Dad and some other tools.
Put the tent up for the first time in 15 years, its 30 years old but still in pretty good shape. Found some small holes around the center pole but their smaller then a dime and one pole grommet tore out on the backside, that shouldn't be a problem.
It has a smell, and a little dirty. Keep it up let it air out and let the rain wash off the dirt. Tomorrow I'll turn it inside out and let the rain clean the other side......
It is pretty close to the above pic.....Actually it is identical.
It 20X20 feet.

It has been some time since I've been to Comite, with all the rain and other stuff going on. Stopped by this morning to see if the flyer taped on the outside of the Bulletin Board had survived all the rain we been having.

It was nice to see someone had posted one of the Nice Larger laminate flyers below the Sign-In box. Everyone ridding over at Comite can't help but see it and know about the up coming race.

Thanks to the person that made the Large Flyers and posted it.

Thanks for the well-wishes, I hope Charley survives this one victorious. Either way, I'll try to get every bit of suffering from 24 Hours of Clear Springs on tape.

Charley posted that laminated flyer, looks good. Glad you guys are getting after it and gittin' r done on the new-look Beast, we couldn't do it without you. It would be superb to have it racer pre-ridable for the wonderful weather ahead next week. I'll check back in Sunday evening.

There will be a bike toss event at the Beast Master. Huck this hunk the farthest and you win.

We couldn't find a Huffy worth throwing these days, but thanks to Travis at Mid-City Bikes for donating a NEXT Power Climber, complete with kickstand, spring suspension, and spoke protector.

Yikes, that thing is gonna be heaaavy!! Hope someone doesnt throw their back out trying to toss it!

If they can have a clydesdale division in racing, why can't there be a liteweight division for bike toss, like poeople that are 160lbs or less. We should be throwing a bmx bike or something!

You have to be able to lift it first! That will probably disqualify most. Thought we would have to round up a 100' tape measure for the contest, but I think my 12 footer will do!
